Getting started with OhRec

Record your first video in OhRec — Peacae's private web recorder, formerly Peacae Recorder — from setup to playback in the library.

Before you record

  1. Open OhRec in Chrome or Edge for the best capture support.
  2. Choose a capture source: screen, window, tab, or webcam.
  3. Enable microphone and optional system audio if you need narration or app sound.
  4. Review settings in the gear menu — including privacy and local-storage notes.

Start recording

Click Start recording. A pre-flight dialog summarizes your choices before the browser capture picker opens. After you approve a source, a three-second countdown runs, then recording begins.

Use the floating control bar to pause, resume, add chapters, switch views, or stop.

After recording

Your recording appears in the library. From there you can play, rename, download as WebM, delete, or open Studio to edit.
