Overview

Non-destructive video editing in OhRec Studio — trim, polish, and export screen recordings locally in your browser.

What OhRec Studio is for

OhRec Studio is the browser editor built into OhRec. Use it after recording to remove mistakes, tighten pacing, add titles and callouts, reframe for social video, and export a new file — without uploading anything to the cloud.

Edits are non-destructive: your original recording stays in the library until you choose to export. Project data (segments, overlays, effects) autosaves locally in your browser.

Open OhRec Studio

  1. Record a video or open an existing take from the OhRec library.
  2. Choose Open in Studio on a recording card or in the watch panel.
  3. OhRec Studio opens at /studio/[recording-id] with your project ready to edit.

First edit in five steps

  1. Trim dead air
Drag segment handles on the timeline or split with S at the playhead.
  2. Fix audio
Open the Audio tool to adjust volume, fades, or mute.
  3. Add context
Use Text or Annotations for titles and callouts.
  4. Polish the frame
Crop, set aspect ratio, or add a blurred background in the preview inspector.
  5. Export
Render a new WebM to your library; the original file is preserved.
