OhRec recording guide

Capture sources, audio, presenter bubble, chapters, and quality settings in OhRec.

Capture sources

OhRec supports:

  • Full screen or application window
  • Browser tab (recommended for tutorials with system/tab audio)
  • Webcam-only recording

The browser always shows its own picker — OhRec cannot bypass that security step.

Presenter bubble

On screen or tab recordings, enable the camera to show a presenter bubble in a corner. Customize position, size, shape, and style in setup. You can switch to a full camera view mid-recording without stopping.

Audio

  • Select a microphone input device before recording.
  • System or tab audio depends on browser and capture source — best in Chromium on desktop.
  • Low light lifts webcam exposure in dim rooms (webcam and bubble only).

Chapters

While recording, tap Add chapter to drop timestamped markers. Chapters appear during library playback so you can jump to key moments.

Quality

Choose 720p or 1080p before recording. Recordings export as WebM from the browser encoder.
